Selling an apartment when lease has been terminated

Hi Nick, I don't have experience of selling in Les Deux Alpes, but my understanding is that unless you have particularly good commercial terms for a leaseback, you get a better price if you sell out of lease. 

I sold my leaseback in Brides-les-Bains (just below Meribel) and the agent told me I absolutely had to get out of my lease in order to sell at a reasonable price. I was stuck in the lease at the time and it was worth negotiating and paying an exit fee to terminate the lease. If you wanted to let the property and sell later, there are various property management companies that could that without tying you in to a long lease. But you may have some VAT to pay back depending on how long you've owned the property.
