Purchase of common areas after PV departure

Hello, does anyone else have experience of Pierre et Vacances not renewing the lease, then discovering that they own areas of the residence such as the swimming pool, reception areas etc which are then offered to the owners group for purchase?
PV pulled out of our residence 7 years ago and it has since been run and managed by Lagrange. There was talk of PV selling the communal areas they still owned to the owners for a nominal 1€ but that never happened. We are now being offered the opportunity to buy these areas for more than this or for the operating company to purchase. While it might make sense for the owners to purchase the lot en groupe, there are also implications for ongoing maintenance and running costs particularly of the pool.

Anyone else have experience of this situation? How did it work out? It would seem after all these years, we now don't have much time to decide.

Hi,

As there are certainly heavy maintenance costs regarding Swimming pool etc.. why would you bother in buying the communal areas. It might become more of an issue than a profit. No?

Regards,
