Hi all
Does anyone know how often an apartment is refurbished? Ours is a CGH property in Alped d'Huez and I can't find any mention of this in the lease.

How long is your lease for? Normally they are for 9 or 11 years so the refurbishment happens at the end of that period. The management company should give you advance notice of the cost of the refurbishment which is normally for you to pay if you decide to continue with the lease for a further period. If you bought a property "second hand" eg not new, it may have only a short period to go on the lease but it should be outlined somewhere in your documentation. Contact the management company if you remain unsure.

I am with CGH in Vallandry. We have determined there is no legal requirement to refurbish. It is all negotiable.
Suggest you group together with all owners and negotiate something that is reasonable.
Also - no need to refurbish everything - only replace things on a selected basis of what is required.
