Leaseback industry.

Hi all.

Have been following this forum for a number of years now.Noticed recently how quiet this site has got. Just wondering if the problems that many people have had ,with leaseback properties, are starting to resolve themselves?

Rasher.

This forum was initially successful for me in contacting a few owners (Le Beaumarchais, Pantin) and subsequently resulted in contact with virtually all owners. Following non-payment of rent due to the management company's (Suites Etudes, part of Park et Suites, Equalliance group) attempt to blackmail the owners to sign a new lease offering reduced terms, we took legal action. Not only did our lawyer take action against non-payment of rent (3 quarters), he also took action against the non-implementation of the correct rental increase 2 years ago. We appear to have been successful and the money has now been passed to the lawyer for distribution to the owners. I regard it as partial success only as we still have the same rogue management company and I know there's lots of hassle to come.
