Hi all,

We are currrently paying 27 euro per square meter fixed costs (coverin in fact all costs, electricity, syndic,...) that per our contract can be raised with 1,5 % each 3 years.  but now we received a letter that due to the exceptional situation in 2022-2023 (inflation, energy costs exploding, lack of snow) they are forced to raise this to 33 euro per square meter.  We wonder if we can challenge this raise ? Anybody who was in similar situation ?

Hi, for what its worth .....I used to pay 2 X half yearly payments of c. 200 per call. Since 2022 I now  get  4 calls of c.€400. I 'have' a 35Sqm  apartrment ....rental receipts are typically€2,400 p.a.....so will be coming out with a cool €800 in my pocket !

We have other apprach I think. The actual syndic/charges de copropriety costs are paid by MGM (including energy costs, repairs,...). Owners pay an amount per square meter per year, that amount is per the contract fixed, meaning it cannot get higher over the years (even not with inflation). Now MGM asked to raise that amount, but the owners refused and for the moment all stays as is.
